Russo is joined on today’s show by Big Vito, Kenny ‘Starmaker’ Bolin, and his co-host Jeff Lane. On today’s show they will discuss Monday’s episode of RAW.
Big Vito thought the opening segment of the show was good, and it was nice to see Curtis Axel get some love from the live audience. Bolin mentions that Axel has been given multiple opportunities on the main roster with several different gimmicks, but he’s failed to take advantage of any of them. In terms of drawing money, Bolin just doesn’t see a point where people are going to buy a ticket to see Axel.
Vito mentions that not everyone can be a main-eventer, and there’s plenty of places on the card for talented guys like Curtis Axel. Russo admits that Axel might be talented but he can’t get over the fact that Axel has a 12-year old haircut.
Lane feels that using Anderson and Gallows in a comedy role is not doing them justice. They still managed to make the segment with Elias entertaining because that’s just what they do. Vito agrees but says that Anderson and Gallows are more effective when they’re a part of a team, such as The Bullet Club. Bolin recalls managing Gallows in FCW and they were using him in a comedy role back then. He didn’t agree with it then and he doesn’t agree with it now either because ‘funny doesn’t draw money’.
