Blocks 3 & 4:
Taz welcomes Mike Johnson from PWInsider to the show.
Johnson says that the decision to bring Kane back onto WWE programming was made two weeks ago. Kane was working out at the Performance Center for a couple of weeks when nobody was around, and nobody knew he was at the building last night until the minute he broke through the mat. In an effort to keep his return a surprise WWE flew him to another city until an hour before the show. Taz thinks it’s great that WWE is still trying to protect the business as best they can.
Johnson mentions that he is considering writing a piece about the effect of The Bullet Club on ROH and NJPW right now. In his opinion those two promotions need to be concerned with the fact that The Bullet Club may actually be getting over to the point where they’re bigger than the promotions, similar to the impact of NWO on WCW back in the late 90’s.
Taz says he understands where Johnson is coming from but if he was running ROH or NJPW he’d let those guys continue to do what they’re doing at least for the time being, because the bigger The Bullet Club gets, the more it helps those promotions.
That sums up today’s episode of The Taz Show. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
