They were both fans of professional wrestling for as long as they can remember and they both knew that they’d eventually tag together. Their parents were both supportive of their goals but they had to have a backup plan. They both attended college but in the back of their minds they knew they’d eventually be working as professional wrestlers.
The Singh bros mention that they worked in England for Paige’s family’s promotion. That was a good experience but they knew they’d never get a true break there. They would then travel to India to work with the help of Jeff Jarrett. They didn’t feel out of place at this time because they were young and hungry. Years later when they were brought in by WWE they admit to feeling like a small fish in a big pond.
They inform that they were contacted by WWE about joining the Cruiserweight Classic tournament in February of last year. They were a tag team and were concerned about competing in that tournament as singles competitors, but former WWE Superstar Edge told them that this was an opportunity that neither of them could pass up.
