Moore asks Lawler for his opinion on The Shield’s reunion. Lawler feels that this reunion is best for business because WWE wouldn’t do it if it was a poor business decision. It’s been three years since The Shield split up and fans were really desperate for a reunion so he thinks this is perfect timing. He adds that Reigns, Rollins and Ambrose have all had singles success since The Shield’s demise, but none of them reached the heights that they had seen as part of The Shield.
Lawler still feels that Roman Reigns is ‘the guy’ in the mind of Vince McMahon and other WWE officials, but this reunion is a temporary way of re-igniting interest in the product. Lawler admits that it takes a lot for something wrestling related to get him excited these days but he’s genuinely excited to see this Shield reunion play out.
Lawler welcomes James Ellsworth to the show.
Lawler apologizes for some things he said about Ellsworth in the past. When Ellsworth got involved in the Money in the Bank ladder match, capturing the briefcase for Carmella, Lawler said that Ellsworth looks like someone who should be buying a ticket to WWE events, not participating in them.
