Blocks 3 & 4:
Taz is really impressed by the build up to the Hell in A Cell match between Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens. He says that unlike a lot of today’s heels, Owens doesn’t care about being liked by the hardcore internet fans. He’s a true, legitimate heel, and he got some more great heat on McMahon last night.
He liked that their physicality resulted in them wrestling in the concourse area of the arena, but Taz would have liked to have seen more fans in and around the action there. With the addition of the ‘Falls Count Anywhere’ stipulation, Taz assumes we’ll see a big bump from the top of the cage resulting in a pin on the outside of the ring. He just hopes that both of these guys stay safe during this match.
A listener calls into the show and asks Taz for his opinion on ECW’s rebirth under WWE’s umbrella in the mid 2000’s. Taz says that the rebirth of ECW ‘sucked’, and he doesn’t think WWE should have ever touched that brand given how fondly its initial run was looked upon.
That sums up today’s episode of The Taz Show. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
