According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline, the reason that AJ Styles hasn’t been in action on weekly SmackDown Live programming is because they are saving him for the dark matches in hopes that the fans don’t leave during 205 Live.
Meltzer wrote the following when asked about Styles’ status, “Working every night. Saved for dark matches a lot on Tuesday to make sure crowd doesn’t leave during 205 Live.”
