Ryback is joined on today’s show by his new co-host, adult film star Phoenix Marie.
Marie informs that she has been a fan of professional wrestling for a long time and she even competed in wrestling as a young adult. As a young fan she was particularly fond of Sable, Shawn Michaels and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin.
A listener writes into the show and asks Ryback who he hated to wrestle the most in WWE. He says that he enjoyed working with each and every superstar in WWE, and there was never anyone who he hated to work with. He admits that it was certainly tougher on his body to work with bigger guys, but that didn’t mean he hated working with those guys.
Marie asks Ryback if he believes there are ways WWE can improve the actual wrestling ring structure. Ryback says that the current ring structure is very archaic and has been around forever so he believes there are some things that WWE can improve about it to make it easier on the performers’ bodies.
Ryback points out that WWE have changed a couple small things about the ring. Where there used to be aprons on all sides of the ring, there are now video screens on some sides. In addition, there are plastic video screens on all the ring posts, and Ryback believes this has limited the risk and pain involved in taking a shoulder bump into the ring post because he’s seen a lot more of that bump recently.
