Jinder Mahal
Of all the matches on this list, I have a horrible feeling this is the one they are going to go for. The Jinder Mahal experiment simply hasn’t worked, the guy has put on average at best matches and is currently dragging Shinsuke Nakamura’s reputation through the dirt each and every Tuesday night on Smackdown. Sadly, I suspect that the former 3MB member is going to retain his belt at Hell in a Cell and likely all the way through to Wrestlemania.
His rise to the top has a lot of parallels with JBL’s back in 2005/2006. He has been pushed out of the blue, been given a poor stable who help him win every title match, and is rolling his way through the best Smackdown has to offer at a ridiculous rate. If those parallels are to continue, then he could even end up dropping the belt to Cena at Wrestlemania 21, just like JBL did.
JBL was, of course, the man who fell to Cena for his first ever title run, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Jinder isn’t the man to give him his record-breaking 17th, and with an increasing Hollywood schedule, likely his last.
