The Miz
John Cena has done pretty much all there is to do in the WWE, and the only piece of gold that he has never held is the Intercontinental Championship. The Miz has become synonymous with the belt in recent years and it seems unlikely the WWE would take it off before Wrestlemania season looking at the current mid-card scene on Monday nights.
Cena and The Miz also have a storied past. The Miz beat John Cena clean at Wrestlemania 27 and Cena got revenge, sort of, at this year’s Mania, defeating The Miz and Maryse in a mixed-gender tag match alongside his fiancee Nikki Bella.
The story heading into this match writes itself, I’d happily tune in every Monday night to see The Miz send up Cena’s role in Total Bellas some more. The Miz has had an excellent year and a big, proper match with John Cena at next year’s Wrestlemania would be a good reward for him.
