Vito thought John Cena and Roman Reigns had a good match on this show as well, but there was no doubt in his mind that Reigns was going to win right from the outset. He says it was time for Cena to pass the torch to Reigns, and this basically marks the end of Cena’s 15-year main event run. He predicts that the one thing that’s left for Cena to do is challenge The Undertaker at WrestleMania.
Speaking about the Cruiserweight Championship match between Enzo Amore and Neville, Vito says this was poorly booked. Just a minute or two into the match he felt the finish was very predictable, and he wasn’t a fan of the match overall. He thought this was several minutes too long, especially given the way the crowd was reacting to it.
Vito thought the finish to the main event match between Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar was very strange. He really thinks that this was a botched finish because Lesnar and Heyman looked surprised, and even the referee looked confused. He suspects that Strowman was ‘blown up’ and rattled from Lesnar’s suplexes, and he may have forgotten to kick out of that F5.
That sums up today’s episode of Vince Russo’s The Brand. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
