He says that this certainly appears to be a predatory move by WWE, and he doesn’t understand why they felt the need to do this. He does admit that ticket sales have been down on Thanksgiving weekend lately, so perhaps this is their attempt to boost live event ticket sales. Ryback goes on to say that he’s not worried about the attendance for WrestleCade.
Ryback says he was very sad to hear about the passing of Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan. Heenan was a trailblazer in the wrestling industry and he was more than just a great manager, he was a great performer overall. Buck agrees with Ryback entirely and says Heenan will certainly be missed.
Buck mentions that A.J. Styles wore a mask to the ring during a recent live event in Japan. Ryback is unsure if Styles plans to use this mask at any point in the future, but if this was just a one-time thing for the Japanese audience, that’s pretty neat too. Ryback says one of his favourite masks in wrestling history is the Mastodon head gear that Vader wore in WCW.
Ryback speaks about Ember Moon’s top rope stunner. He says that while that move looks terrific, he’s very concerned about Moon’s long-term health. He says that delivering a regular stunner night after night compresses your spine, and doing it from the top rope makes those effects even worse.
