Speaking about the ongoing saga between WWE and Daniel Bryan, Russo says nothing is going to stop Bryan from wrestling, and it’s only a matter of time before he wrestles again. He feels that Bryan loves wrestling more than any of us can understand, and he’s willing to take the health risks in order to wrestle again. Russo adds that he doubts Bryan’s in-ring return will happen in WWE because they just don’t want to take those risks.
Gilbertti says that there were never injuries like this when he worked, and he believes WWE should consider fining and suspending wrestlers when they hurt their opponent. Gas isn’t sure how that would work because politics would certainly get involved when it comes to the big stars.
Russo says he cringed when he herd that Shane McMahon would be competing in another Hell in a Cell match, this time against Kevin Owens. Gas says that Shane doesn’t think about the risks he takes in matches beforehand. He’s a daredevil and he’s in better shape now than he was 20 years ago, so Gas doesn’t think Shane will change anytime soon.
That sums up today’s episode of Vince Russo’s The Brand. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
