No Mercy is now right around the corner, and there will be many eyes on it, no doubt about it. While everyone is talking about the big money match between John Cena and Roman Reigns, the rest of the card has so much to offer. Title matches make up a good chunk of the card. In fact, 71% of the matches at No Mercy will be title matches.
What will come of them? Who will retain? Who will be crowned? There are so many questions. In this article, I make some very bold predictions. Who walks away this Sunday with gold around their waist?
The Miz
While I certainly believe that The Miz will eventually drop the title to Jason Jordan, I don’t think it happens at No Mercy. There’s not been enough build for a title change to be effective. If WWE really wants people behind Jason Jordan, then giving him the title with zero momentum is not the way to do it. Have Miz cheat his way out this time. Eventually, he will get his comeuppance.
Besides, fans are not yet behind Jordan as a babyface. By giving him a chase (instead of just giving him the title), it will get fans invested in his journey and get them excited for the final battle. It’s writing 101. Sympathetic characters need a chase; they need a journey.
