WWE Raw presents No Mercy this Sunday night, and it has all the potential to be one of the best PPVs of the year so far. With two Wrestlemania worthy matches at the top of the card, and every single Raw title being defended, the show should certainly not be lacking in terms of excitement and with Survivor Series getting closer, expect some twists and turns along the way.
With WWE ratings still not at their best, the company will want to try and pull some shocks out of the bag on Sunday night to continue to draw viewers back in. The fall season is not normally a strong one for the WWE but that could change this year with the right storylines in place. Here are a look five twists we could see this Sunday night that would really get the fans talking.
Emma Tastes Gold
WWE Smackdown’s habit of multi women matches seems to have crept over to Raw in recent weeks, with Alexa Bliss being forced to defend her title at No Mercy against not 1, but 4 other females. Pretty much the whole Raw women’s division (minus Mickie James) is in action this Sunday night and many are expecting to see Alexa walk away with her crown still intact.
Bliss is an excellent women’s champion and a feud with the incoming Asuka would likely be great. Rumours are doing the rounds though, that Asuka’s first feud in the WWE will be with the darkhorse of this match- Emma. Emma is a great talent and the WWE has really not been able to utilise that since her arrival on the main roster.
Having her win such a big match, against a lot of very good talent at No Mercy would instantly push her in the eyes of most fans and a feud with Asuka would certainly help her get the recognition that she deserves.
