Russo says he wrote a line in a promo for Triple H during the attitude era that read, “I don’t play the game, I am the game”. All these years later Triple H is still using that moniker and Russo isn’t seeing a dime from that.
On RAW this week Sheamus and Cesaro once again proved how far the product has fallen by embracing their nickname ‘The Bar’. Anderson and Gallows are also trying to get over each week by calling their opponents nerds, and Russo thinks this entire tag team angle was God awful.
Lane questions why WWE would book Cena in China this weekend, resulting in him missing the go home episode of RAW for No Mercy. Russo doesn’t understand that either, but he admits that this led to the only thing with a hint of creative on this show – Roman Reigns’ promo. He thought Reigns attacking Cena similar to how Cena attacked The Rock five years ago was well done.
