He then goes on to discuss the historic rate at which home runs are being hit this year. He says that some people are still suggesting that PEDs are playing a big part in this, but he points out that these players would have to be awful courageous to take a drug test these days fully aware of the fact that they’re dirty. It’s just not worth the risk in his mind.
Taz mentions that WWE sent out an email a couple of days ago, hoping to gain some market research about the WWE Network. One thing the WWE is apparently considering is a tiered pricing system for the Network and Taz thinks this is a great idea. He liked this idea from the first time it was rumoured over a year ago. He believes it’s an easy way for WWE to boost their bottom line, and he doubts that fans will have any issue paying a little bit more money for more premium programming.
Taz also points out that at one point in the email, WWE asked fans if they’d be interested in programming such as ROH and Impact. In addition, they mentioned the possibility of scripted dramas, comedies and reality shows. Taz thinks a lot of these ideas are very good, but one idea in particular really caught his attention.
WWE mentioned they’re considering an audio only channel for the Network, which would feature commentary play-by-play from past shows, podcasts and music playlists. Taz jokes that it sounds like they’re basically trying to copy his show, but nonetheless, he thinks this is a good idea that fans will get behind.
