He was very appreciative of The Rock for always taking the ‘Hurricane’ gimmick seriously, and always putting it over during their promo segments. He also mentions that he actually wrote some of the lines that Rock used during the promos. He recalls defeating Rock in the match they had, right as Rock was leading into his WrestleMania match against Steve Austin, so that was pretty special to him.
Helms recalls sneaking into the crowd in Toronto at WrestleMania 18, when The Rock faced Hulk Hogan. Ross says that was one of the most incredible matches he has ever been a part of, and Helms agrees. Helms sneaked into the audience from the backstage area because he wanted to be a part of the live audience to feel the emotion in the building during that match.
Ross asks Helms what 205 Live is missing right now. Helms thinks that show needs more personality and more intriguing characters. For this reason, he thinks it’s a good idea that Enzo Amore was moved to 205 Live.
That sums up today’s episode of The Ross Report. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya next week for another recap!
