Ross welcomes Hurricane Helms to the show.
Helms informs that he still works indie dates, and he doesn’t mail any of those bookings in. He still takes his fair share of bumps but he’s certainly smarter now about how he bumps, and about the types of bumps he takes. One thing he didn’t realize early on in his career is that a lot of his offence requires him to bump as well, and he has attempted to adjust that as the years have passed.
Helms says he was devastated to hear of Bobby Heenan’s passing. He considers Heenan to be the greatest Manager of all time because even when he was paired with an established talent, he still managed to make them better. Helms adds that being paired with Heenan was almost better than winning a Championship because being paired with Heenan guaranteed you a plethora of attention.
Ross asks Helms about his release from Impact Wrestling. Helms says the situation that unfolded after Jeff Jarrett was brought back in was quite unfortunate. Jarrett brought in his people, but they weren’t really agents. Helms’ position as an agent was quickly in danger, and he didn’t appreciate how all of that transpired.
