Lane plays another clip of Meltzer. In this clip, Meltzer states that he was at a recent indie show where all the fans were all going crazy and chanting things at him out of respect. Russo laughs hysterically and says those fans weren’t chanting out of respect, rather they were making fun of Meltzer and he was too stupid to realize it. Russo adds that even the most hardcore fans know how big of a mark Meltzer is.
Lane mentions that Ryan Satin has set up a Patreon account for his ProWrestlingSheet dirt sheet. Russo wonders who would pay Satin a dime. He says the only way he’d read anything on Satin’s site is if Satin was paying him to read it.
Dave Meltzer had another interesting tweet this week, where he said that there were a number of companies who have blown WWE’s attitude era programming out of the water. Russo suggests that Meltzer provide some proof, because there is no company who has matched the attitude era’s television ratings. Russo says that Meltzer is a joke who most people are seriously sick of.
Speaking again about Ryan Satin, Lane says that Satin tweeted out this week saying that hopefully Enzo Amore on 205 Live will lead to more cruiserweights wrestling main roster Superstars. Russo says that nobody wants to see John Cena versus Rich Swann. No one in their right mind wants to see these 200 lbs guys wrestling on the main roster in Russo’s opinion.
That sums up today’s episode of Vince Russo’s The Brand. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
