Block 2:
Taz predicts that WWE will pay tribute to Heenan on tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW, either by opening the show with a video montage, or by having an on-screen tribute from the commentary team.
Taz mentions that A.J. Styles wore a mask during his recent trip to Japan as a part of the WWE tour. He says that while some fans may be confused about this, Taz says this is not an uncommon thing for wrestlers who have spent time in Japan in the past. He adds that Styles spent a significant amount of time working in Japan before arriving in WWE, and this was probably just a homage to his history there.
A listener calls into the show and asks Taz if he thinks Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler’s commentary style was influenced by Heenan. Taz says that Lawler’s style was definitely inspired by Heenan, but Lawler is not the only commentator to be influenced by Heenan. Taz believes that most, if not all commentators are influenced in some way by the work Heenan did throughout the length of his career.
