Ryback is joined on today’s show by his co-host Pat Buck.
Buck and Ryback discuss the ongoing promo wars between Roman Reigns and John Cena. Buck asks Ryback if he thinks Cena went too far by bringing up Reigns’ failed drug test on RAW last week. Ryback doesn’t think Cena went too far by bringing that up, but he does admit that Cena is continuing to point out Reigns’ flaws even though Reigns is the new, young star and Cena is the outgoing 40-year old veteran.
Ryback mentions that he went through a similar situation when he was working a program with Cena a few years ago. Cena was taking some similar verbal shots at Ryback, and every time Ryback came up with a few lines to combat Cena in a promo, he was told by WWE officials that “…you can’t say that to John”. Ryback assumes that this is how Cena has been able to get the better of everyone on the mic throughout the years.
Buck mentions that Smackdown Live drew a great rating last week, with the return of Mr. McMahon to WWE programming. Ryback says that while some people are suggesting that McMahon bladed or worked a cut for Kevin Owens’ head butt, the man is also 73-years old, and he’s probably going to be legitimately busted open by that head butt every single time.
