Blocks 3 & 4:
Taz wonders if the Mae Young Classic runner-up, Shayna Baszler, will be inserted into the Fatal 4-way as the fourth competitor. He points out that while Baszler is still a bit green in the ring, the fact that this Takeover event isn’t until November gives Baszler more time to hone her craft. In addition, that length of time allows NXT to creatively book her into that angle without it feeling rushed.
A listener calls into the show and says he believes Braun Strowman is going to destroy Brock Lesnar at No Mercy. WWE will then work an injury angle with Lesnar, and then Lesnar will come back at the Royal Rumble and take the Title back from Strowman.
Taz doesn’t think that’s going to happen, but he admits that anything can happen in WWE. He says that trying to predict the outcome of a wrestling angle is like trying to predict the end of a movie without seeing the script. He adds that WWE is definitely pushing Strowman to the moon so it would be surprising to see him defeated handily by Lesnar at No Mercy, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s the favourite to win the match either.
That sums up today’s shortened episode of The Taz Show. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya on Monday for another full recap!
