Russo really thinks this gimmick is a rib on Ziggler. He wasn’t sure at the start, but after seeing Ziggler come out imitating Bayley this week, Russo’s sure it’s a rib now. He says that Ziggler was probably marching around the backstage area for weeks complaining about his position on the card, and then WWE ribbed him by making this his new gimmick.
He continues by saying that it’s public knowledge that Dolph Ziggler had a sexual relationship with Amy Schumer, and if he was booking the show, he would tie this into Ziggler’s gimmick. He thinks it would be very entertaining to have Ziggler bragging about this week after week on Smackdown Live.
Russo says he liked the final segment of the show with Kevin Owens laying out Vince McMahon. He’s not sure if Vince McMahon was hard-wayed or if he ‘gigged’ the cut before hand. Either way it bothers Russo that WWE uses their PG rating as an excuse from time to time, but when they choose to, they quickly convert to more mature programming.
That sums up today’s episode of Vince Russo’s The Brand. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
