Block 3:
Taz points out that there was one thing about the final segment of last night’s show that bothered him. After Owens began attacking McMahon, Taz felt that either Byron Saxton or Corey Graves should have left the commentator’s booth and ran to McMahon’s defence. They’re both young, able-bodied individuals who were close to the attack, and he felt like WWE put them in a bad position by not having them run to McMahon’s rescue.
Taz thought it was a nice touch to have Stephanie McMahon confront Owens on the ramp, and he was fine with how Stephanie interacted with Owens. A listener calls into the show and says 20 years ago Owens probably would have clotheslined Stephanie as well, but Taz says he liked it just like it was because the last thing fans remember was the viciousness of Owens’ attack on Vince.
A listener calls into the show and says that Bobby Roode is better as a heel in his opinion, but he assumes Roode will remain babyface for a while and feud with Dolph Ziggler. Taz thinks the caller might be right, and he adds that there was a time in ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage’s career when he was a heel, but the fans still respected his work and his promos. Taz thinks Roode could be in a similar boat if he ever turned heel on the main roster.
