She says that she owes so much of her success in WWE to Vicki Guerrero. Guerrero is such a sweet person, but she was the ultimate heel on WWE programming. The way Guerrero picked on her on WWE programming early on resulted in the WWE Universe getting behind her as a babyface, and that gave her career a kickstart.
Kaitlyn admits that she dealt with some issues concerning her weight while working in WWE. When she was hired they told her to lose ten pounds, but apparently they tell that to all new hires. She has always been a bigger, muscular woman so losing weight is tough. At one point in her second year in the company she shed 20 pounds, but it wasn’t healthy at all.
She informs that Fit Finlay did a lot for her career. It was Finlay’s decision to have Kaitlyn and Eve as the last two competitors in the 2012 battle royal that she ultimately won. Eve was supposed to win that night but she mistakingly eliminated herself while getting clotheslined over the top rope. Kaitlyn was in shock but the referee told her to celebrate.
That botched finish resulted in her remaining in the main event picture for an extended period of time. She ultimately defeated Eve for the Divas Title in her hometown, and that was a very special night for her.
