Bischoff is joined on today’s show by his co-host Nick Hausman.
Bischoff comments on the promo segment between Roman Reigns and John Cena from this week’s RAW, where Cena brought up Reigns’ past failed drug test. Bischoff says that he’s been thinking about this all day, and he’s still not really sure what he makes of it.
He says part of him loves the fact that WWE is pushing the boundaries and moving away from the ‘cookie cutter’ style of promos, but the other part of him thinks WWE crossed a line by bringing this up. He thinks there were other ways to elicit a similar response from fans, and digging that deep into the dirt just wasn’t necessary.
Hausman asks Bischoff for his opinion on GFW releasing Jeff Jarrett from his position in the company. Bischoff says he likes hanging out and having a couple of beers with Jeff Jarrett but in all honesty, Jarrett was a mid-level talent during his in-ring career.
In addition, Jarrett hasn’t proven to be a successful businessman either. Bischoff says that Jarrett understands how to tell a good story in a wrestling match better than most peers, but he hasn’t proven himself able to successfully build and brand a wrestling promotion.
