For all these reasons it was particularly impressive to see him drop an elbow from the top rope last Monday night. Ryback knows that Big Show is banged up and requires hip surgery, so maybe this was Big Show’s way of going out with a bang, at least for the time being.
Ryback points out that he worked with Big Show on multiple occasions. He says it was never really difficult getting Show’s huge frame up for the Shell Shock, and Show actually felt lighter than some guys who weighed 200 lbs. For example, Ryback says that Hornswoggle is only a small man, but he’s so bottom-heavy that it makes him difficult to move around in the ring sometimes.
Ryback recalls Big Show being really hurt by the ‘please retire’ chants that followed him around a few years ago. It was really nice to see the fans give Show the applause he deserved after the match last Monday, but he shouldn’t have to do a top rope elbow to get the fans approval. Buck says that nobody hates wrestling more than wrestling fans, and Ryback agrees with that entirely.
