Lane points out that WWE seems to be intentionally lowering Sami Zayn over the last few weeks, with back to back losses to Aiden English. Russo points out that maybe WWE finally figured out that Zayn is nothing more than a mid-card guy.
Nakamura defeated Randy Orton in the main event of the evening, and Russo laughs at WWE’s logic here. He says it’s terrible that WWE thinks wins and losses matter in terms of getting new Superstars over. Orton suffered multiple losses to Jinder Mahal, so then WWE gave him two or three wins in a row just so he’d be ‘built up’ for Nakamura to beat. This way Nakamura would be going over a strong Orton.
Russo says that none of this matters. Wins and losses don’t matter, and nobody’s getting over.
That sums up today’s episode of Vince Russo’s The Brand. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
