Taz begins today’s show speaking about Jeff Jarrett’s leave of absence from GFW. Taz says he’s not going to speak poorly about Jarrett because Jarrett has always been good to him, and was even a guest on this show at one point. Apparently there have been some issues in the workplace, perhaps related to Jarrett’s drinking, and this has resulted in the company asking Jarrett to take a leave.
Taz wonders who’s going to lead the charge at GFW right now, but he points out that John Gaburick might be the frontrunner for that role. Gaburick has survived the recent company overhaul and has been a team player throughout, so Taz tips his hat to him.
He’s also pretty sure that Jarrett sold the GFW brand to Anthem when the big company overhaul occurred. For this reason, Jarrett doesn’t need to be present in order for Anthem to use those letters. In Taz’s opinion, ‘Anthem Wrestling’ is a better name than TNA or GFW, and he’d prefer they use that Title moving forward.
Taz was very impressed by last night’s episode of Smackdown Live. He thought there were a number of very good segments on this show, and he also thought WWE did a great job of building towards next week’s Smackdown Live which is shaping up to be a great show as well.
