Ross opens today’s show by saying ‘Bravo’ to JBL for stepping away from his commentary duties on Smackdown Live in order to pursue some personal goals with his charity. Ross also says ‘Bravo’ to WWE for not overthinking his replacement on Smackdown Live. Corey Graves was the right answer, and now the WWE Universe gets him two nights in a row.
Ross says he’s very happy to hear that Ric Flair appears to have turned the corner, and is out of the woods concerning his recent health scare. He says that fans need to give Flair time, because it doesn’t matter how long it takes Flair to get back out in public. What matters right now is that Flair kicked out at 2, and will hopefully be able to get home soon.
Ross says he’s very excited for the No Mercy PPV airing on September 24th. He thinks this is somewhat of a supercard, and there are multiple matches on this card that should deliver the goods. Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar are set for a physical brawl, and John Cena versus Roman Reigns is shaping up to be a classic given their recent promos.
