Bischoff is joined on today’s show by his co-host Nick Hausman.
Bischoff says it did his heart good to see Ric Flair cut a promo from the hospital last week. This was classic Flair, and Bischoff calls him a one-of-a-kind living legend. Bischoff’s not sure how active Flair plans to be in the wrestling community once he’s fully recovered, but given Flair’s status, he’ll be in the spotlight as long as he wants to be.
Bischoff comments on WWE’s decision to run RAW live on Christmas Day. He says this is a very difficult situation, and he’s sure there are a number of employees and Superstars who aren’t very happy at the moment. However, he points out that WWE shouldn’t have any issues getting fans to attend these live shows because holidays like this have always been great days to promote shows.
Bischoff says he was in a similar situation once, when he and WCW were pairing up with KISS to run a live PPV/show on New Years Eve 1999. This was going to be a live ‘end of the world’ themed PPV/Kiss concert, which would be held in a football stadium on December 31st, 1999 with a ring on one side of the stadium and a KISS show on the other.
