Welcome to an action-packed edition of Monday Night Raw!
Tonight’s show features a titanic bout between Braun Strowman and The Big Show…..inside of a steel cage! WWE has taken as many opportunities as possible to put Strowman and Show in the ring together and tonight is just another example. By all accounts the two have had shockingly good matches and I’m excited to see what kind chaos they can conjure up in a cage match. Regardless, I fully expect Strowman to go over strong to prove himself further before facing Lesnar at No Mercy.
Also on tonight’s Raw, we have ourselves an exciting Intercontinental Championship match. The Miz has been clamouring for some more competition for weeks and months now but he may have gotten more than he bargained for when Jeff Hardy emerges as his number one contender. This is an intriguing match-up and good for both men; The Miz will be an ever bigger heel against the always-beloved Hardy. I’d like to see Jeff get a prominent singles run but I don’t see it starting tonight.
Last week’s Raw made a lot of waves for the in-ring segment between Roman Reigns and John Cena, which ran the gauntlet of shoot-promo lines. Roman did fine but Cena is one of the best of all-time and he annihilated Roman, which can only serve to light a fire under the big dog. Roman can’t cut promo’s, we all know this, but with the proper encouragement and having no-fu$k’s to give, he can become a lot more comfortable and easier on the ear. He’s still too scripted but here’s hoping that WWE send him out tonight against to face Cena and get torn up.
Elsewhere on tonight’s show, look for fallout from Alexa Bliss winning the Women’s Championship before being beat-down by former friend Nia Jax. Bliss will likely try and ease the situation but Nia made her intent clear. Further brawling between the Tag Team Champions and Sheamus & Cesaro, as well as Finn Balor seeking revenge on Bray Wyatt. Let us know what you’re excited to see on our Ringside Talk app and enjoy the show!
