The fourhorsewomen taking on four women MMA fighters is itself a dream match and WWE are clearly going that route. However that is not a Wrestlemania main event match. While it will be fantastic to see that match belongs on Survivor Series as an elimination match. 3 of the 4 MMA horsewomen simply are not deserving of the ‘Mania main event and frankly are not big enough or good enough. The real money in a Wrestlemania main event is not a tag team match it is in a one on one match between 2 of the biggest women’s athletes in the world Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey.
Women in wrestling are breaking down barriers daily. Whether it is stars in WWE like Flair, Banks, Bliss or others or if it is on the indies with people such as Candice LeRae, Tessa Blanchard and loads loads more. Just look at the MYC, women are proving their talent and worth to the wrestling business more than ever and if their ever is a perfect time to put a women’s wrestler in the Wrestlemania main event it is next year at Wrestlemania 34. Putting Flair opposite Rousey will do wonders for Flair, Rousey, WWE and women’s wrestling. It will garner unparalleled main stream attention and make insane amounts of money for WWE. A fantastic and intriguing match would match the insane hype. This match is bound to happen, so WWE just give it the placement it deserves – the main event of Wrestlemania.
