Blocks 1 & 2:
A listener calls into the show and says it was great seeing Shelton Benjamin return to a WWE ring last night. Taz agrees and says Benjamin hasn’t lost a step. Taz admits that even though he called a lot of Benjamin’s matches over the years, he might have forgotten just how good Benjamin was.
He points out that Benjamin and Gable really need a tag team name moving forward, and they also need to have matching outfits. He thought it was strange that WWE didn’t make sure those things happened prior to their debut match, and that led Taz to believe that Benjamin might turn on Gable right away, before they even got going as a tag team.
Taz wonders who The Ascension pissed of back stage because these two guys look good and appear to be good soldiers for the company. Taz thinks the company should throw them a bone from time to time in the form of a win.
Taz had a big issue with how and when WWE chose to promote next week’s match between Randy Orton and Nakamura. After Orton came out and saved Nakamura in the show’s first segment, we were immediately shown a graphic promoting a match between both men on next week’s show. The timing of that graphic was way off in Taz’s opinion, and it didn’t make any sense whatsoever.
