Valkyrie was recently stripped of AAA’s Reina de Reinas Title under much controversy, which resulted in a social media feud with AAA Talent Relations Manager, Vampiro. She says after she won the Title in a terrific match, she flew back to New York for ComiCon where she was hit by a drunk driver. She was fine, but would be unable to wrestle for a month or two.
Her fiancé, Johnny Mundo, was flying back to Mexico to work, and the company asked him to bring her Title with him as well so they could shoot some backstage vignettes. She agreed but when Mundo returned, he wasn’t allowed to bring her title with him. She later found out on social media that she was stripped of her Title and this offended her.
She felt very disrespected, and all she needed was a text message or a phone call. She points out that there were a thousand good ways to shoot an angle if they wanted to get the Title off of her, but they decided to do it like that. She says she’s taking some time away from Mexico right now, and she’s not sure where she stands with AAA at the moment.
The other thing that really bothered her about the entire situation is the way Vampiro handled the situation on social media. As Talent Relations Manager, she felt that Vampiro would have her back but that wasn’t the case at all. He said some terrible things about her but has since apologized, and she truly feels like he understands that he made a mistake.
