Lawler says that he was very entertained by the in-ring promo segment featuring Roman Reigns and John Cena. He’s not sure if it was a legitimate ‘shoot’ promo, but there were certainly a lot of realism involved in the topics discussed by both men. He knows that Cena’s words were coming from the heart, and Cena has felt this way for a while. He’s waiting for the next ‘guy’ to take his spot, but that guy hasn’t arrived yet.
Moore points out that Dave Meltzer informed that this was a scripted promo with just a few ad-libbed lines from both men. Lawler points out that Meltzer doesn’t know everything and he summarizes by saying, “Meltzer, what a little dweeb he is”.
A listener writes into the show and asks Lawler about his experience at the Playboy Mansion, when he accompanied Sable there for a WWE vignette years ago. Lawler says he had an awesome time there, and it was everything you’d think it would be. He met Hugh Hefner and Hefner was very ‘cool’ to him.
