Ryback says he was very dissapointed to see the way that Rusev was beaten by Randy Orton at SummerSlam. Ryback points out that it wasn’t long ago that Rusev was the strong link on a team with current WWE Champion, Jinder Mahal. He says that Rusev is a fantastic worker who’s certainly putting in the effort at live events, so it sucks when creative seemingly are disinterested in booking certain talents.
Buck thinks The Usos and The New Day are having the best matches on WWE television right now. Ryback agrees and says all of those guys are fantastic professionals. He says it was unfortunate that their Smackdown Live Tag Team match was relegated to the SummerSlam Kickoff Show last Sunday.
Buck enjoyed SummerSlam but he thought it was simply too much wrestling, and the show was too long. He feels like WWE can get away with that for WrestleMania but it’s tough to execute for SummerSlam unless they build it up to be even bigger. He actually thought they did a good job booking this PPV, but it’s still tough for fans to sit through six hours of wrestling.
