Block 4:
Speaking about the Mayweather/McGregor match, Taz says he’s not sure if it was a great fight or not, but it was certainly a great show in terms of entertainment. He gives McGregor a lot of credit for stepping out of his comfort zone and entering a boxing ring with arguably the greatest boxer of all time, but in the end it simply wasn’t enough.
Taz assumes that Mayweather wanted to toy with McGregor and give fans their money’s worth, and that’s why this thing didn’t end until the 10th round. In Taz’s opinion, it seemed as if McGregor tired as the fight went on, and when Mayweather really wanted to turn it on, it was lights out for McGregor.
Apparently Mayweather earned $100 Million for this fight before PPV revenue, and McGregor earned $30 Million. This split was fair in Taz’s opinion because Mayweather’s crew organized and promoted this fight and once the fight started, Mayweather carried the whole show.
That sums up today’s episode of The Taz Show. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
