Bischoff says he thinks Bobby Roode can be successful at the bottom, middle or top of WWE’s main roster. He can’t say enough good things about Roode and he’s surprised that it’s taken WWE this long to pull the trigger and bring Roode up to the main roster. Even though Roode and A.J. Styles are getting up in age, they’re both very smart workers and Bichoff thinks we’ll be seeing a lot of both competitors for years to come.
Hausman asks Bischoff for his opinion on the first match of the Kickoff show happening while there was basically nobody in the arena. Bischoff jokes that The Hardys are accustomed to wrestling to nobody after working for TNA for all those years. In all seriousness, there’s not much WWE could do in that moment other than send the guys out for their match as scheduled.
Speaking about the unfortunate injury suffered by NXT Women’s Champion Asuka, Bischoff says that rather than stripping Asuka of the Title he’d simply wait this injury out and start preparing for Asuka’s comeback Title defence. The injury will supposedly keep Asuka out of action for 6-8 weeks, and Bischoff says that’s like five minutes in creative time.
