Russo thinks that pound for pound, Naomi is probably the best athlete on the entire WWE roster. He thinks WWE did a great job building Naomi’s Championship run over the last several months, and he also thinks they jumped the gun by taking the Title off of her on Sunday. He thinks her Championship run was still crescendoing and this Title change was premature.
Big Vito thinks that Natalya will be a transitional Champion, who Carmella will ultimately defeat for the Women’s Championship in a few weeks time. Russo admits that might be the case, and that’d be some real old school booking.
Russo thought Enzo Amore’s promo was very good prior to the Big Show/Big Cass match, because he thinks Amore was shooting a little bit during this promo. He thought Amore oiling up to slip through the bars of the shark cage was very creative, and he loved that as soon as Amore touched the mat he was kicked straight in the face. The main goal in this match was to get Big Cass over, and WWE succeeded with that.
Russo wonders if there’s any heat on Rusev backstage, because he was beaten by Randy Orton with an RKO in merely a few seconds. Big Vito doesn’t think there’s any heat on Rusev at all. He says that there’s always one very short match on PPV’s, and these two guys drew the short straw on Sunday. It’s not like Rusev was completely buried because he came out like a house on fire and got a bunch of offence in before Orton caught him with an RKO.
