Block 2:
A listener calls into the show and asks Taz if he thinks we’ll see Roman Reigns win the Universal Title soon and join Ambrose & Rollins to reform The Shield. Taz thinks WWE is staying away from that right now because Reigns is one of their top single stars. He also thinks WWE has a good thing on their hands with the Rollins/Ambrose tag team and they’ll continue to build them as Tag Team Champions.
A listener calls into the show and points out that when Adam Cole made his NXT debut at the end of the main event on Saturday, Maura Rallano told viewers that it was Cole before fans at home could even see Cole’s face on the broadcast. Taz noticed this and it bothered him, and he thinks Ranallo does these things just to get himself over and prove to fans that he knows who these performers are.
Speaking about Nakamura’s loss to Jinder Mahal, Taz still thinks that Nakamura is going to be okay in WWE. He believes that WWE is still invested in him as a top guy, and they continue to prove that by giving him big entrances. Taz is still concerned with the language barrier that Nakamura faces, but if he continues to learn English and WWE protects him in that sense, he’ll be just fine.
In terms of the actual match, Taz thought Mahal and Nakamura worked well together and there was an evident chemistry between them which produced a crisp, physical match. Taz feels that the match’s length may have been cut because the finish came out of nowhere. In any event, defeating Nakamura was a huge speed bump that Mahal got over at SummerSlam.
