While away from WWE, Mahal got himself into terrific shape and dedicated himself to dieting and training like a Champion. When he won the WWE Championship McIntyre ran to the Gorilla position to greet him as he came back through the curtain, and he says he’s very proud of Mahal. He also points out that Mahal’s physique is a result of a lot of hard work, and WWE’s regular drug tests rule out any notion that Mahal is using steroids.
McIntyre says he’s always available to assist younger trainees at the Performance Centre, but he gets the impression that some of them are intimidated by him. He says that he often discusses his matches with other veterans like Roderick Strong, and they converse over technique.
McIntyre informs that if he’s able to win the NXT Championship on Friday, look for the smile on his face because that smile will be real. This is all real to him, and if NXT officials put their faith in him to hold that Title, he’ll be thrilled. After this feud with Roode concludes, he’s looking forward to working with other NXT Superstars such as Roderick Strong, Aleister Black, and Velveteen Dream.
That sums up another episode of X-Pac 1, 2, 360. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya next week for another recap!
