Gilbertti says that until McMahon and WWE is comfortable with Nakamura’s ability to cut a lengthy promo, they aren’t going to put the WWE Title on him. Fans and journalists alike are going to get very angry when Nakamura fails to defeat Mahal at SummerSlam but that’s what’s going to happen, and that’s exactly what should happen until Nakamura gets more comfortable with speaking English.
Russo agrees and says that it’s essential that the WWE Champion can communicate with the WWE Universe, and until Nakamura can do that, McMahon will not fully invest in him. To prove his point, Russo points out that Nakamura will not be able to host the Espys this year like Cena did last year. Gilbertti says that until his English improves, Nakamura will just be a featured wrestler on the show, but he won’t win the WWE Title.
Lane points out that there has been a rumour circulating that Brandi Rhodes left GFW because she managed to get herself a television deal outside of GFW, and GFW wanted to take a cut of those earnings so she asked for her release.
