Block 4:
Taz assumes that the Fatal 4-way Match between Brock Lesnar, Samoa Joe, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman will close SummerSlam, but he makes a case for having Nakamura versus Jinder Mahal close the show instead. He says that Nakamura is going to get a massive babyface pop in Brooklyn, and if he’s booked to win the WWE Championship, that’ll be an enormous pop to end the show.
He says if he was making the choice, he’d have Nakamura vs. Mahal end the show, but only if Nakamura is booked to win the Title as Taz predicts he will be.
A listener calls into the show and asks Taz if he thinks we’ll see Ronda Rousey in WWE on a full-time basis anytime soon. Taz says that Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H and other top WWE Executives aren’t ‘marks’, and they don’t leap at every opportunity to bring in celebrities or MMA fighters.
Conor McGregor challenged the entire WWE locker room a while back, and Taz says that this certainly didn’t anger McMahon because McMahon understands that McGregor was basically just putting out a feeler for potential work in the years to come. However, McMahon didn’t jump at McGregor’s offer either, and he won’t ever bend over for someone like that.
That sums up today’s episode of The Taz Show. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
