After training with Storm for a while and failing to advance through the ranks, Breeze took a risk and paid to attend one of WWE’s open tryouts. Jinder Mahal attended the same tryout and was the only hopeful who received a WWE contract at that time. He went back to a second tryout and his persistence paid off because he was offered a contract. He informs that those tryouts cost him $1,500 each, plus the cost of his flights, hotels and food.
Fandango informs that when he started working with WWE he was just working dark matches, but he was soon invited to work with Curt Hawkins as part of a stripper gimmick. Hawkins soon moved on from that gimmick and Fandango joined NXT’s roster with that gimmick as a solo Superstar. Within a short period of time he transitioned into a ballroom dancing gimmick, and was soon moved up to the main roster where he began a feud with Jericho.
Jericho informs that he was supposed to work with Ryback at that time, but Vince McMahon changed his mind at the last minute. Jericho was not overly excited about working with Fandango at first, but he got on board and set his mind to getting Fandango over. They only had four weeks to build their rivalry and they’re both proud of the work they did together during that feud.
