It was previously reported via Fightful.com that Ronda Rousey has expressed interest in coming to WWE and has went as far as to learn some of the basics from a WWE Superstar. It was even said that WWE referred her to work with Brian Kendrick for training purposes in Southern California.
While speaking to “In This Corner” podcast, Triple H indicated that no further conversations have taken place with Ronda Rousey but he is open to the idea of giving her an opportunity.
“I think [Rousey] is in a transition period in her life and is in a great place,” Levesque said. “I think she’s getting married soon or something. Look, she has got a lot going on, but I’m all about creating opportunities. That’s what the Mae Young Classic is all about — creating opportunities for these women that they never had before. If Ronda Rousey wants that opportunity, I’d be happy to talk to her about it.”
Triple H continued, “I think that Ronda has been fascinated with our business for a very long period of time. There are so many similarities but you don’t have some of the competitive drawbacks maybe that come with being that elite level of fighter.”
It will be interesting to see how things play out over the next couple of months, as it’s being speculated by Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer that Ronda will be making an appearance at the upcoming Mae Young Classic.
