Lawler is joined on today’s show by his co-host Jimmy Hart.
Lawler comments on a tweet sent out by musician David Crosby. Crosby took a shot at wrestling and wrestling fans by insulting their intelligence, and it didn’t take long for the masses to shoot back at Crosby. Lawler is sure that Crosby regrets those comments right now, and he urges celebrities to avoid insulting wrestling because they’re setting themselves up to feel the wrath of wrestling’s fanbase when they do that.
Moore asks Lawler what he usually says to people if they question wrestling’s legitimacy. Lawler says he points out that these are professional entertainers, and it’s the same as watching a move which is obviously fake. Sometimes he’ll go into details about how serious injuries can be if he wants to really prove his point to the person who’s questioning him.
Lawler welcomes special guest Jimmy Hart to the show.
Hart talks about the early days of his wrestling career in Memphis Wrestling. Lawler brought Hart into the promotion and Hart would manage Lawler for quite some time before they split up and Hart began bringing in wrestlers to challenge Lawler week after week. Finally, Hart introduced Terry Bollea (Hulk Hogan) to Memphis Wrestling, and a legend was born.
