Bischoff feels that the amount of PPVs nowadays is diluting the product, and these shows no longer feel special. He says that the dual brand PPVs don’t matter if the brands don’t feel different. He believes that each show should have its own reasons for certain Superstars to want to represent that brand, and it needs to matter to the talent which show and brand they’re apart of. Without that, it’s just more wrestling.
Hausman asks Bischoff if he’d consider putting Smackdown up against RAW on Monday nights in an attempt to create some competition within WWE. Bischoff says that’s certainly something he’d consider, but the two shows need to feel completely different than each other before WWE can even think about putting them head to head against each other.
That sums up today’s episode of Bischoff on Wrestling. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya next week for another recap!
