Speaking about CM Punk’s future, Bischoff can’t believe that anyone in Punk’s camp is trying to convince him that he has a legitimate chance in MMA moving forward. He thinks it’d be smart for Punk to be open to a return to professional wrestling because he’s still fairly young and has lots to give to the business.
Speaking about WWE pulling pyro from their shows, Bischoff thinks that pyro is important to the show, but not vital. This also allows WWE to use it now for big matches or big shows and it will feel more important.
Hausman adds that WWE seems to be very focused on their bottom line for 2017, because they have seemingly pulled back on their UK expansion plans for the time being. While that expansion might show profits in future years, it would hurt the bottom line this year.
Hausman points out that WWE still does unbelievable social media numbers with views consistently in the millions. Bischoff points out that without television exposure those numbers would decrease significantly, as would the number of WWE Network subscribers. He says that television is still very important in this changing world.
