Blocks 3 & 4:
A listener calls into the show and says that growing up in the 80’s, he was always a huge fan of Sgt. Slaughter. The caller asks Taz what effect Slaughter had on his career early on. Taz says that Slaughter is a very good man, and he has the upmost respect for him. Back when Taz was trying to get into WWE in the early 90’s Slaughter was working in the talent relations department, and Taz would send in video tapes of his work multiple times a year.
When Taz finally made it to WWE many years later he spoke with Slaughter backstage one day and Slaughter told him that he must have sent in the most video tapes out of any performer who was trying to get into WWE during that time. He adds that he has never heard anyone say a bad word about Slaughter, and he misses a lot of those guys from the previous generation.
That sums up today’s episode of The Taz Show. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
